‘It's not all in the genes’: Sperm and egg donors' feelings of connection with their recipients

Watch a recording of this online event organised by the Morgan Centre, University of Manchester, as part of the Manchester ESRC Festival of Social Science.

The Morgan Centre’s Petra Nordqvist and Leah Gilman share the findings from their ‘Curious Connections’ project, focusing on the connection that egg and sperm donors feel to recipient parents. How do known donors navigate this relationship, and what does it mean for clinic donors who have never met their recipients?

Our own Yael Ilan-Clarke, DCN’s Research Co-ordinator, talks about what the Network has learned more informally about donor-recipient connections from its members.
