DC Network is a charity and a membership organisation that provides support, guidance and information to parents and prospective parents of donor conceived children and to donor conceived adults. We get no government financial support and are funded primarily through book sales, donations and membership fees. Membership is £80 per year or £8 a month.

We currently run four sorts of workshops. The first is called Getting Started and is our in-person event for anyone considering donor conception and wondering what it’s really like to take this route to parenthood. The second workshop is called Telling and Talking and is for parents of children under seven to help them share origins information with their children and others. The third is Continuing the Conversation for parents of children aged 10-20. It offers a supportive space to think about the future, consider the possible implications, and build confidence in navigating these conversations with your child. Lastly, our annual Making it Real workshop is for professionals working with donor conception families or prospective parents.

We are mainly set up for parents and prospective parents, so we don’t have a membership type set up for donors at the moment. However, do sign up to our Mailing List to keep in touch. You are also welcome to phone or email us if you want to connect.

Unfortunately not. We can signpost you to places that offer donors, including sperm and egg banks as well as clinics and agencies. But our focus is on the social and emotional support rather than donor recruitment.

Yes and no. We are primarily set up for parents and prospective parents. However, we have lots of donor conceived people who want to connect with us, sometimes because their parents were/are members. The first step is to sign up to our Mailing List and indicate your preferences there. Or you can always email us at the office to find out more.
